Probably the most interesting applcation I saw is the Hilton Hotel's Teledining suites. You actually dine in your room, next to a huge screen which shows your dining companion dining in her room. Your table and the screen are aligned, so it appears like you are sitting at the same table. They are arranged very cleverly, so that you can even make eye contact or point to their food or their table during the conversation.

There are also many chat rooms, where avatars representing individuals come in and out of rooms, and join discussions, just like a conference. But it is difficult to have audio conversations among multiple people online it turns out, because in real cocktain parties we can maintain multiple conversations in agroup, and the particpants can tune in and tune out some of those conversations. We haven't quite figured out how to do that online.

Let's talk about it, and maybe we can find a way to do it!! So, now I don't have to travel to Hawaii in january!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you think this through??? :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
